Geophysics and Drilling for Gold on DIOS AU33 WEST
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA-- Dios Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: DOS) reports diamond drilling planning on the AU33 WEST Gold property, James Bay area, Quebec, a few km from the Eastmain-1 hydropower plant. Following positive results from first channel diamond saw sampling from trenching and stripping completed in fall 2012 by partner Osisko Mining Corporation in the central part of the AU33 WEST Gold property, a 33 kilometre long line cutting and geophysical survey is currently ongoing for induced polarization, and pending completion of this work, a 1000 metre diamond drilling campaign is currently being prepared

Ten trenches were dug this fall to test geochemical soil anomalies or to extend previous known showings (Dec. 20 press release). Best results were returned on the Heberto showing assaying 5.0 g/t gold over 5.25 m and 1.12 g/t gold over 4.5 m in a sheared tonalite (granitic rock). Several anomalous gold results varying from 0.5 to 1.1 g/t gold over lengths of 0.75 to 2.25 m were obtained from the other trenches (g/t equals grams per ton) completed on these granitic intrusives.

During the 2012 summer, Osisko discovered five new gold showings in a felsic (tonalite-granodiorite) intrusive complex returning between 1.77 and 17.3 g/t gold in grab-samples. Goldbearing mineralization appears as 1-5 percent pyrite in disseminations and fracture fillings associated with potassic alteration and/or silicification. The current geophysical survey aims at better defining the extent of the showings under the overburden and to target next exploration work.

The style of mineralization (disseminated, not vein-hosted) and metal association suggest potential for a low-grade bulk tonnage porphyry gold deposit on the property.
