DIOS MOBILIZES FIELD CREW ON CHIBOUKI IN THE CHIBOUGAMAU AREA, SOUTHERN JAMES BAY REGION OF QUEBEC
MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA - DIOS EXPLORATION INC. starts its 2006
summer work program on its CHIBOUKI project in the southern James Bay region of
Quebec. A geophysical crew is mobilized for a detailed tight-spacing low altitude
airborne geophysical survey to complete previous data available.
Exploration activities on CHIBOUKI will also consist of prospecting and till sampling
as well as diamond drilling of known targets scheduled in the coming field season. The
goal of the current geophysical work is to refine other targets for further drilling.
Kimberlite indicator minerals found on the CHIBOUKI PROJECT of DIOS returned
encouraging microprobe data results this winter (Jan. 20, 2006 press release). They
confirmed some distinct well defined glacial dispersal trains, further enhanced by glacial
geology studies completed recently.
The CHIBOUKI property has very good access and is located in the southern end
portion of the Mistissini-Lemoyne Structure hosting several kimberlites and alkaline
intrusives several hundreds of kilometers further north, including the Ashton-Soquem
Renards diamondiferous cluster. The CHIBOUKI area previously studied by DIOS has
been systematically screened for kimberlite indicator minerals and the focus is now on
the actual mining claims.
DIOS has 14,766,968 shares issued and has a good financial situation. DIOS, a leader in
diamond exploration in Quebec, has some 3,000 sq. kilometres of mining rights.
